Welcome to The Green Apple! Our mission is to provide an easy, fun guide to New York City -- one that speaks to New Yorkers and out-of-towners alike. The City is such a wonderful place, with so much to see and do. That said, it can be difficult to decide which of the countless restaurants to try, or which kitschy stores are worth a closer look. That's where we come in. We are not Zagat's, we're not food critics or professional shoppers; we're just three regular girls on a budget, making our way around Manhattan. Our reviews and ratings are designed to make exploring the city easier for the average person, for the amateur explorer -- for you.
Although our primary focus is on comprehensive, user-friendly restaurant and store reviews, The Green Apple also reflects our interest in entertainment. To that end, we shamelessly plug whatever album, book, movie, television show, or product we're into at the moment. If we love it and think you should too, we'll post it here.
Above all, The Green Apple is for you. Yes, you. We welcome -- and strongly encourage -- your participation. You should always feel free to agree, disagree, and/or make suggestions. So if you think you've found the City's best guacamole, if there's a store you want us to check out, if you're performing somewhere, etc. -- let us know! You can comment on our entries or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Either way, we'd love to hear from you.
